The Chongqing-Hunan Secondary Expressway is a PPP project led by the Chongqing Chongqing-Hunan Expressway Group in conjunction with a consortium of 31 central and state-owned enterprises, including China Iron Construction, China Railway, and China Communications. It is one of the projects in Chongqing's three-year transportation construction action plan. The total mileage of the project is about 285 kilometers, passing through five districts and counties: Banan, Nanchuan, Pengshui, Youyang, and Wulong. It consists of three sub-projects: Banan to Pengshui, Pengshui to Youyang, and Wulong to Daozhen (Chongqing section), with a total investment of 64.6 billion yuan.
