The Nanjing-Nanjingyan-Taicang High Speed Railway, referred to as the Nanjing-Nanjingyan-Taicang High Speed Railway, was originally the Jiangsu Nanyanjiang Intercity Railway. It is a high-speed railway connecting Nanjing City and Taicang City within Jiangsu Province. It is an important component of the Beijing-Shanghai Corridor and the Yangtze River Corridor in China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network. It is also a significant route in the comprehensive three-dimensional transportation corridor planning of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, a backbone line of the inter-city rail transit network in the core area of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, and the first railway project independently led and invested in by Jiangsu Province.
