The Dalian Metro is the urban rail transit system serving Dalian City in Liaoning Province, China. Its first line, the Dalian Metro Line 3, officially commenced operations on May 1, 2003, making Dalian the sixth city on the Chinese mainland and the first in Liaoning Province to have a rail transit system.
