The first phase of the Changchun Metro Line 5 stretches from the Southwest Hub Station in the south to the Dongdaqiao Station in the north. It operates in the Chaoyang and Nanguan districts of Changchun City, passing through the southern campus of Jilin University, Nahsi Lake Park, Zheyou Mountain, Hongqi Street Wanda Plaza, Ouya Business District, Changchun Cultural Square, and Renmin Square. It is a high-capacity backbone line in the network, running from southwest to northeast. The total length of the first phase of the Changchun Metro Line 5 is 19.66 kilometers, with a total of 18 underground stations planned. The line will use a fleet of 6 B-type trains.
