Chengdu Metro Line 7
The Chengdu Metro Line 7, also known as Chengdu's sixth operational subway line, was inaugurated on December 6, 2017. It originates at the North Railway Station and traverses several districts including Chenghua, Jinjiang, Wuhou, Qingyang, and Jinniu, forming a circular route that concludes back at the North Railway Station. As of 2019, the total length of Chengdu Metro Line 7 spans 38.61 kilometers, entirely underground. The line features 31 stations, all of which are underground, and utilizes 6-car Type A trains. By October 2020, the highest single-day passenger volume on this line reached approximately 1.0848 million rides on September 30, 2020. The construction of the Chengdu Rail Transit Line 7 set multiple records, innovating key technologies for shield construction in water-rich sandy gravel strata. This project has achieved numerous technological advancements and has been honored with several awards, including one National Quality Engineering Award and two China Architectural Decoration Awards.
