Shenzhen Metro Line 16, also known as the "Longping Line of Shenzhen Metro", is the 16th operational subway line in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. The first phase of the project (from Universiade Station to Tianxin Station) was opened on December 28, 2022, with indigo as its signature color.The first phase of Shenzhen Metro Line 16 starts at Universiade Station, passes through Longgang District and Pingshan District, mainly connecting areas such as Ailian, Huilongpu, Longping, Pingshan Center, Jiangling Shaxue, Tiantou Tianxin and others, and ends at Tianxin Station, roughly trending in an east-west direction.The first phase of Shenzhen Metro Line 16 is 29.2 kilometers long, all of which are underground lines with 24 underground stations. It uses 6-car A-type trains and has a designed maximum speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
