Company Profile

Founded in 2002, Weldon Group has established manufacturing bases in Xindu and Pengzhou, covering 45 mu and more than 80 mu respectively. With production lines for asphalt, polymer materials and coatings, Weldon has grown into a leading company in the industry. Weldon Group has obtained authoritative certifications including CRCC, CCPC and the ISO management-system certifications. Its products serve industrial and civil buildings, tunnels and bridges, municipal infrastructure and other fields. The Group has also formed strategic partnerships with universities and research institutions, completed multiple provincial research projects, and secured more than 50 international, Chinese invention and utility-model patents. In response to China’s strategies for high-quality development and new quality productive forces, Weldon focuses on emerging building fields such as urban renewal, rural revitalization, industrial refurbishment, photovoltaic roofs and prefabricated construction. We are evolving from a waterproofing-material supplier into a provider of green, low-carbon building protection systems, delivering lasting protection for the places people call home.

CHAPTER 01

Product Portfolio

Through years of practice and continuous improvement, Sichuan Weldon Waterproofing has built a product portfolio designed to cover a broad range of applications and performance needs. Our solutions serve railway, road and bridge, municipal, residential, industrial and defense-related waterproofing projects. The portfolio includes polymer-modified asphalt membranes, self-adhesive waterproofing membranes, polymer membranes, waterproof coatings and new product lines, with more than one hundred products across five major series.

CHAPTER 02

Engineering Services

As a pioneer in technical innovation, Weldon Waterproofing is committed to applying and validating new technologies and construction methods. We standardize construction practices across every project through modern equipment, specialized workforce training and continuous research and development. During delivery, our waterproofing demonstration and technical-service teams provide end-to-end guidance on materials and installation. This support—from production and material selection to construction—is the practical proof of Weldon’s capability as a professional waterproofing-system provider. Our technical team has completed six proprietary construction methods; two have been submitted as provincial methods, and one has received an excellence award.

CHAPTER 03

Quality Management

Weldon follows a full-process quality management system covering raw-material supply, semi-finished products, in-process production control and final product release. This end-to-end quality-control mechanism provides a solid and effective safeguard for product performance. In 2020, the Sichuan Weldon Testing Center received a Standardized Laboratory certificate from China National Building Material Test & Certification Group, confirming its professional testing capability. We also invest in specialist development, regularly sending team members to the Suzhou institute for skills training and advanced testing instruction.

Research & Innovation

Weldon’s core R&D team includes more than 60 PhD holders, postgraduate researchers and university graduates. Their expertise gives the company a deep foundation of industry knowledge and strong capacity for technological innovation. As our research capability has accelerated, we have continued to increase R&D investment and have been recognized as a national high-tech enterprise. Weldon operates one of western China’s leading specialist research teams and advanced testing facilities, while maintaining strategic partnerships with institutions including the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China National Building Materials Group, Chengdu Engineering Corporation, Sichuan University, Chengdu University and Southwest Jiaotong University. Together, we develop new materials and technologies, complete provincial research projects and hold dozens of technical patents, including one recognized by the China Waterproofing Good Patent program.

CHAPTER 05

Craftsmanship & Training

Weldon has built a strong teaching team of professors, recognized experts and scholars, including industry-registered trainers, national assessors for special occupations, and national- and provincial-level waterproofing technicians. Our standardized construction-training base includes multimedia classrooms, an almost 2,000-square-meter hands-on training area and China’s first scenario-based waterproofing theme park. It is equipped with professional tools for polymer hot-melt systems, polymer systems, self-adhesive systems and SBS systems, supporting a wide range of practical training needs. Weldon has hosted national vocational qualification training for waterproofing workers many times, training hundreds of participants who earned national certificates. Our programs have developed one runner-up and three third-place finishers in waterproofing skills competitions, two master studios—one provincial and one municipal—and four recognized craftspeople from Chengdu, Xiangcheng and Pengzhou.
