Chengdu Metro Line 7

Chengdu Metro Line 7 is the city's sixth completed and operating metro line. It opened on 6 December 2017, starts and ends at Chengdu North Railway Station, passes through Chenghua, Jinjiang, Wuhou, Qingyang and Jinniu districts, and forms a ring route.

As of 2019, the line was 38.61 kilometres long, entirely underground, with 31 underground stations. It uses six-car Type A trainsets. On 30 September 2020, the line recorded a highest single-day passenger volume of 1.0848 million trips.

The project set multiple construction records, including innovations in shield tunnelling through water-rich sand and gravel strata. It subsequently received several awards, including one National Quality Engineering Award and two China Construction Engineering Decoration Awards.
