Product Positioning
W9 Rubber-and-Plastic Membrane Protection is a silicone rubber coating for repair and renewed protection of exposed TPO, PVC and other rubber-and-plastic roofing membranes. Its positioning combines waterproofing, corrosion protection, solar-reflective thermal insulation and service-life extension. It is particularly suitable for existing membrane roofs with ageing, cracking, chalking or water ingress where complete removal and replacement are not desired. It adheres well to TPO and PVC surfaces and has strong elasticity to accommodate substrate movement and wind uplift.
Primary Functions
It supports direct repair and protection of TPO and PVC membranes without large-scale removal of the existing membrane, helping reduce downtime and demolition cost. Its elasticity and elongation can follow a degree of thermal movement and displacement in the membrane.
Core Advantages
Solar-reflective thermal-insulation performance can lower roof surface temperature by approximately 30°C under high-temperature conditions. The coating also provides waterproofing, corrosion protection and resistance to temperature variation; after 100 freeze-thaw cycles between -20°C and 50°C, no coating abnormality was reported.
Applications
Suitable for exposed TPO, PVC and other rubber-and-plastic membrane roofs requiring repair and renewed protection.
Performance Characteristics
Good adhesion to TPO and PVC, elasticity, solar-reflective thermal insulation, waterproofing, corrosion protection and resistance to temperature variation.
