W9 Metal Protection is a waterproofing and anticorrosion silicone rubber protective coating for metal roofs and metal components. It addresses corrosion, leakage, thermal expansion and contraction, and thermal insulation on metal roofs, combining metal corrosion protection, waterproofing, thermal insulation and elastic protection.
Primary Functions
The coating provides waterproofing and corrosion protection together for color-coated steel roof sheets, metal-factory roofs and similar applications. Its elasticity helps accommodate expansion and contraction caused by day-night temperature differences.
Core Advantages
Its flexibility and elasticity are supported by an adhesion strength of at least 1.5 MPa, helping resist cracking caused by substrate movement. The source material also states artificial weathering resistance of at least 3,000 hours, high- and low-temperature resistance, solar-reflective thermal insulation, and resistance to acids, alkalis and salts. It can reflect solar visible and infrared light to reduce heat absorption by metal roofs, and roof-renovation work can reduce large-scale removal and associated disruption.
